The end of last year hit and I fell off the monthly review train and I’m not really okay with that. I thought for a minute maybe I’d just let those posts go, but then I remembered that I actually really like taking the time to reflect on the month gone by and it really does help me realize that yes, things happened, and that yes, progress is being made.
Truth is, I’m feeling a little lost. I didn’t start this year with as much intention as I wanted, I didn’t solidify the goals I wanted to reach this year and I haven’t been allowing myself time to reflect like I want to.
And now it’s February and I feel like the magic of January and it’s fresh start feelings have disappeared far before I was ready to commit to a list of goals for the year or even a general intention to motivate me through the year.
I run on my own time though, always have really, and I can still catch up, right?

Celebrated in bed, watching the ball drop. Gingerbread beers. Pizza. Movie watching, popcorn eating. The return of TV. Catching up on our Netflix Queue.
The Bahamas. A mini cruise. The cutest little girls. Remembering how to wear heels. Dressing up for dinner. Exploring new and old places. Margaritas. Sunshine. Bathing suits. Buckets of beer. Sand in my toes. Left side only sunburn. Fish friends.
Book reading. My final semester of undergrad. Planning the biggest vacation yet. Booking airfare to Europe, for the first time ever. Dog snuggles.Body Pump and yet another return to running. Feeling stronger. Eating better. Running harder, longer and faster.
A weekend in Chicago. Snow. A frozen lake. Good food. All of the wine. Foot travel. Staying up past my bedtime with some of my favorite people. Sharing secrets. Shy bladders. An inability to say words like “hour” and “birthday.” Potstickers. Brunch. French toast, more than once. Best friendships. Reconnecting with a very old and very dear friend from way back when.
Ikea trips. Lady dates. Lady drinks. School projects. The start of TWIN. Cheese. Further learning that bloggers really are the best sort of people. A baby shower for one of my favorite cousins. Cake. The cutest cupcakes in all the land. A mini family reunion. Plans for Boston in June. Lots of hugs. Lots of memories. Lots of vacation planning.
Stray cats, always. Tacos. A stagnant meal plan that I’m totally okay with. A new camera bag and more love for the new camera. #BiSC registration and all the feelings of glee that come with that. New blogger friends, new twitter follows.

We have this brand spankin’ new brewery, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, that just opened in Richmond and they have these absolutely brilliant seasonal, small batch brews. The first was a Pumpkin Ale and their Winter/Holiday brew was a Gingerbread Stout (made with fresh and local ginger and honey) that tasted like a delicious gingerbread cookie, only better because it was alcoholic. They’re latest is the Hardywood Mocha Belgique, a delicious stout that I would like to marry becuase it’s that good. Craft beers are the BEST!

I JUST posted my 2012 goals last week. I think it is never too late to set your goals and intentions. Maybe now we’ve had more time to process and do it on our own time, instead of because itsthethingtodo for new years resolutions. I love that photo of us. It made me grin ear to ear. seeing that up there- so much happiness there. I need to make a copy of that and frame it. stat. I miss you. xoxo But wait- you are going to Europe? shut the front door!
